Progress Reports // Stay Connected!

During the first quarter of 2012, the State of Ohio has experienced broadband awareness, access, and adoption achievements through successful progress of Connect Ohio’s programs. The following report details the progress of both the Every Citizen Online (ECO) and State Broadband Initiative (SBI) program extension, as well as Connect Ohio’s newest initiative to connect rural Appalachian Ohio with broadband access.

The following report details the progress of both the Every Citizen Online (ECO) and State Broadband Initiative (SBI) program extension, as well as a new initiative to connect rural Appalachian Ohio with broadband access. 

The end of the second quarter of 2011 has been filled with achievements for the State of Ohio, as well as Connect Ohio. The details of our work to successfully plan, implement, and execute both the Every Citizen Online (ECO) and State Broadband Data and Development (SBDD) program extension are outlined in the report that follows.

The end of the third quarter of 2011 has been filled with achievements for the State of Ohio, as well as Connect Ohio. The details of our work to successfully plan, implement, and execute both the Every Citizen Online (ECO) and State Broadband Initiative (SBI) program extension are
outlined in the report that follows.

Our $10 million Every Citizen Online project is bringing free statewide computer classes to more than 200,000 residents over a two-year period and helping those students become long-term subscribers to high-speed Internet service.

The end of the first quarter of 2011 marks new progress for Connect Ohio, as we move closer to the goal of bringing affordable broadband to all Ohioans.

The second quarter of 2010 was a productive time for Connect Ohio. With applications for two grant opportunities, provider data collection completion, adoption project planning and our ongoing community project planning, we have stayed busy.

The eCommunity Leadership Teams have shifted their focus to an exciting “grassroots” adoption project that is planned to be launched across Ohio.
