Nearly 1,000 New Printers Distributed to Every Citizen Online Partner Organizations

By Lyndsey Kleven

Partner organizations of the Every Citizen Online free basic computer training program recently received 910 new printers from Connect Ohio. The printers were donated by Lexmark, are wireless, and valued at nearly $100 each. Printers were distributed among the training sites for use as individualized ECO promotions or to fulfill printer needs for the organizations. Many chose to distribute the new printers by means of random drawing among ECO participants, while others are using the printers to equip their training facilities.

The ECO training program is available to any Ohio adult and consists of 6 hours of basic training. The curriculum covers computer basics, an introduction to the Internet, and an overview of the many benefits of using the Internet. More than 32,000 adults have already participated in the ECO training since it launched. The training is offered at 250 locations throughout the state. A full list our training locations can be found here or find the nearest location to you by calling 1-855-NOW-I-CAN (669-4226).
