ECO Printer Giveaway Continues

By Lyndsey Kleven

Another wireless printer was distributed to an Every Citizen Online (ECO) participant through the Medina County District Library! Partner organizations of the ECO program received new printers from Connect Ohio, donated by Lexmark, to use in promoting the training course.

Marily Springer completed the ECO computer basics and Internet instruction at the Brunswick Library location. The ECO program is free to Ohio adults and includes six hours of instruction for computer beginners. The Brunswick Library is a branch location of the Medina County District Library, which has offered the training at four of its branches. The Median County District Library has trained over 300 adults through the ECO program.

"We have received such positive feedback from these classes," said Noreen Stone, adult reference supervisory at Brunswick Library. "It was a wonderful opportunity for the libraries to help people learn how to use the computer. Everyone who attended said they learned a lot and would like more classes with information to build upon what they learned. It definitely opened a whole new world for some people."
