Frontier Brings Broadband Options to Rural Ohio

Video: Digital Works Job Placement

  Digital Works launched in June 2013 as Connect Ohio’s new initiative to help connect people to twenty-first century jobs. The program has put more than 160 Ohioans back to work over the past year, opening 10 Digital Works locations statewide. “You get a lot of advertisements about free workshops and job training, but I haven’t really heard of a lot of places say that they’re job placement,” said Dustin Bollinger, Digital Works participant. “That was a pretty important distinction for me.” The program is providing an avenue for communities to create a job incubator, retaining workers in the area and attracting corporate jobs. Computers to be Distributed to Columbus Families in Need

Community Computer Alliance (CCA) is donating 72 computers to area families who have expressed a need for having access to technology in their home. The event will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2014 beginning at 11am EST at Scioto Audubon Metro Park, located at 400 West Whittier Street, Columbus. Computer recipients, selected through an application process, will be in attendance at Saturday’s event to receive their computer and enjoy lunch in the park with CCA clients and staff. Digital Works Continuing To Create Jobs

He had been laid off several times the year before he came to Digital Works this past December. Since his arrival, Diamond has started to shine among the group.
