Residential Broadband Adoption in Ohio Surpasses National Average

View the interactive widget Connect Ohio has released new data showing that broadband adoption in Ohio surpasses the national average, with 72% of households subscribing to broadband service in 2013, up from 66% in 2011. Broadband adoption in rural Appalachian Ohio increased to 63% in 2013, a 10 percentage point increase from 2012. New Era Broadband Continues to Expand Access in Meigs County

Many areas of Ohio are still in the midst of the Digital Divide as known all too well by many Meigs County residents. One local last mile broadband provider working to relinquish the digital divide in the local community is New Era Broadband. State Capital Budget will Revamp Reeb Elementary School; Digital Works will be Future Tenant

On Wednesday, April 2, Ohio Governor John Kasich signed the $2.4 billion capital budget at an event in the former Reeb Elementary School on the south side of Columbus. The significance of holding the event at the Reeb School is its $2 million inclusion in the budget to transform the public building into a community center.
