Connect Ohio Celebrates Digital Learning Month with its Every Citizen Online Digital Literacy Program

June is Digital Learning month at Connect Ohio. Our mission during Digital Learning month is to highlight the benefits and needs for digital learning program, partners, and applications. Kate Love Simpson Library Morgan County Library holds our Every Citizen Online (ECO) basic computer training class at two of its library branches in Morgan County and has trained more than 250 people through the program. “In this computer class I learned how to get online,” said Lisa D. New Printers Distributed to New Computer Users

In January, partner organizations of the Every Citizen Online free basic computer-training program received 910 new printers from Connect Ohio. The printers were donated by Lexmark, are wireless, and valued at nearly $100 each. Printers were distributed among the training sites for use as individualized ECO promotions or to fulfill printer needs for the organizations. Many sites chose to distribute the new printers by means of random drawing among ECO participants completing the training, with many printers still left to be distributed! Every Citizen Online All-Star Facility Award Presented to Goodwill Industries of South Central Ohio

Connect Ohio has named Goodwill Industries of South Central Ohio an Every Citizen Online (ECO) All-Star Facility. The ECO All-Star Facility award was presented to Goodwill by Connect Ohio Executive Director Stu Johnson during Connect Ohio’s quarterly Technology Association Meeting session held in Columbus April 26, 2013. EveryoneOn Digital Literacy Initiative Begins This Month

Connect Ohio wants to make you aware of EveryoneOn, a national digital literacy training program launching March 21, 2013, which includes a robust PSA campaign that may result in public inquiries at libraries and Every Citizen Online partner locations.
